NZPA-Reuter Peking Archaeologists who opened a vast tomb in central China with much fanfare last month hoping to find the remains of a potentate discovered only his - dust, > said the “People’s Daily” newspaper. . The archaeologists had earlier heralded discovery of the duke’s tomb near the city of Xian as an important find rivalling that of the funeral chambers of Emperor Chin Shi.

The emperor’s tomb contains thousands of exquisite terracotta images of soldiers which draw many tourists.
