Tracker saw marks
NZPA-AAP Darwin An Aboriginal tracker, Nipper Winmarti, said marks like hip bones and the heel of a foot were visible in sand where a dingo had rested its load the night after baby Azaria Chamberlain disappeared at Ayers Rock in 1980. He told Mr Justice Morling at the Darwin inquiry into the convictions of Lindy and
Michael Chamberlain yesterday that he saw the tracks of a dingo going in and out of the Chamberlain tent. Mr Winmarti said he followed the dingo tracks from round the tent up to the nearby Sunrise Hill the morning after Azaria disappeared. He said the dingo was strong enough to carry a full-grown kangaroo, and on that day it was carrying the baby.
