Retail inquiries welcome at show
Representatives of the D.I.C. will be at the Canterbury Furniture Show. Mrs Kay Colvin, the company’s furniture department manager, and a team of furniture consultants will be in attendance at the D.I.C. booth in the retailers’ area as well as on some of the manufacturers’ stands for the duration of the show. They will welcome approaches from customers old and new, and will be glad to help with queries regarding any of the furniture on display.
Furniture seen on the stands can be ordered at the show, and D.I.C. Customers will be able to use their Custom Card. The » full credit facilities usually available to D.I.C. customers can be used. In addition, D.I.C. is currently offering six months' free credit. “The show is the ideal opportunity to see the manufacturers and fabric suppliers all on the one site. It’s so much better than trying to make choices based on small samples or swatches of
material,” Mrs Colvin said. “It’s a great chance to co-ordinate accessories, fabrics, lighting and so on,” she said. No one store could hope to display the full range available. In its second-floor furniture department, D.I.C. stocks a range of furniture from most of New Zealand’s leading manufacturers. A variety of furniture by Morgan Furniture, Ltd,
is available, including the ever-popular La-Z-Boy recliner rocker chairs. Morgan also make a range of other lounge and dining furniture in styles which will suit both modern and more traditional interiors. The Scandal lounge suite by Kovacs Design, on display at the show, is available from D.I.C. at the special price of $1995. Also available at $1995 is the Kovacs Design Mayfair corner suite. The D.I.C. stocks Castle
bedroom furniture. Three popular models are the colonial Saratoga style, the White Pearl range, and the lacquered (Del Rio, which has a touch of the newly fashionable fifties look. To help ■ customers to co-ordinate the look they want in furnishing, the D.I.C. also has available a large range of accessories such as coffee tables, prints, cushions, floor rugs and lamps, including: the popular Polygon table lamps.
