W. Neill 30% in Angora

PA Dunedin The Angora Corporation has acquired Wilson Neill Ltd’s deer and goat fanning operation, directors of both companies said yesterday. The agreement gave Wilson Neill a 30 per cent shareholding in Angora, making it the biggest shareholder in the corporation. At Angora's first annual meeting in Dunedin, the chairman of directors, Mr Farquhar McKenzie, and the chairman of directors of Wilson Neill, Mr Jim Valentine, said the agreement would require 3.5 million 40c shares to be issued at 50c. The consideration would increase Angora’s investment in goats and deer by more than 50 per cent, Mr McKenzie said.

The approval of Angora shareholders would be sought at an extra-ordinary meeting
