Injured woman dies
PA Invercargill Southland’s “Miss Personality” in 1985 died on Tuesday in Dunedin Hospital. She was Catherine Ward, aged 21. She was injured in a motor accident 28km from Te Anau on May 12. Miss Ward joined the Housing Corporation in 1984 after leaving Verdon College in Invercargill. She was a former Southland swimming age champion.
