Preminger dies
NZPA-AP New York Otto Preminger, the film and stage producer and director, died at his Manhattan residence yesterday. He was 80. Preminger, who was born in Vienna, made such films as “Laura” and “Forever Amber,” in his early Hollywood career, the World War II drama, “In Harm’s Way,” the Gershwin operetta, "Porgy and Bess,” and later “Exodus” and “Anatomy of a Murder.”
