Jun. tournament
Canterbury’s leading junior Badminton players are competing in a 10-week tournament, sponsored by Anderson and Hill, with teams split into four divisions. The tournament, which has attracted over 100 players, has reached the half-way mark and will continue until May 9. Matches are being played on Friday evenings in the Skellerup Hall and at the Rang! Ruru gymnasium.
The leading teams in the divisions are.—Division one: Brown team (Robyn Haley, Anthea Robison, Shaun Stanley and John Powell). Division two: Red team (Tracey Allsopp, Jennifer Skerton, Kerry Williams, Warren Oliver). Division three: Blue team (Brent Forbes, Karl Johnson, Kerry Whyte and Pauline van der Weillen). Division four teams are playing a round robin competition.
