PA Auckland Excavations on a . construction site exposed two potentially lethal power cables in a public accessway, the District Court at Auckland has been told. An excavator hired by Angus Construction, Ltd, exposed the 6600-volt cables in central Auckland in September. Fining Angus $lOOO, Judge Blackwood said the cables could have exploded and killed by-
standers. He convicted Angus for failing to locate the power cable before starting excavations, as required by law.
