NEW ZEALAND CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE announce a $lOOO award for a concept to promote ASIA-PACIFIC ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION THE CONTEST is aimed at identifying a project or projects which the private sector can undertake to achieve greater economic co-operation in the region. 1 ELIGIBILITY: Any student, institution or individual in New Zealand or its island territories may participate. Typed presentation papers, not exceeding 3000 words must be submitted to The New Zealand Chambers of Commerce. The Judges’ decision will be final and the material will become the property of the sponsors. 2 DEADLINE: July 31, 1986. 3 AWARDS: The Judges will given an award of $lOOO for the best project. The winning paper will be submitted to the Conference of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce in Rotorua in November and the winner will also be sponsored to attend part of that Conference. A Merit Award of $250 may also be awarded to an outstanding runner-up. 4 JUDGING: The basis for judging will be 25 per cent for impact on- the economy, 25 per cent feasibility of achievement, 20 per cent probability of private sector implementation, up to 20 per cent if high regional co-operation proposed and 10 per cent for a positive creative approach.
