Over-all yacht winner
Nigel Humphreys, of the Pleasant Point Yacht Club, sailing Airforce, won the over-all result when he pulled off a. good win in the final race of the Canterbury Sigrid trailer yacht championships, sailed on the Estuary on Saturday. Humphreys started well to lead the fleet round the first and second marks, but was passed by Ray Frost, skippering Sirius, on the third mark.
He regained the lead on the Sirius opening up five boat-lengths to win by one minute from Don Nixon in Sigrid, with Frost a further two minutes back in third place. The handicap section was won by Neville Smith, sailing Nuffin-Dunn. Results.—
