C. Newfield suspended
PA Dunedin Craig Newfield had his horseman’s licence suspended until and including May 17 for careless driving at Forbury Park on Saturday night Bellam (Newfield) squeezed up the leader. Stormy Fella, when attempting to go to the front after 400 m in the Cigma Insurance. Stormy Fella broke and hit the running rail. Spangled Chance, which was behind Stormy Fella, was checked and fell.
The connections of Kanturk were advised to have the horse trial before he raced again at a totalisator meeting. The win favourite in the Ford Laser Mobile, he stopped with 600 m to run.
