The Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association will hold a foreign exchange workshop for exporters in Christchurch this week. “We have been able to arrange for the Bank of America’s Foreign Exchange Workshop, which deals with managing foreign currency exposures, to be held for Canterbury manufacturers,” said the director of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association, Mr lan Howell. Mr John Rush, senior manager, financial markets advisory group, B.A. Aus-
tralia, Ltd (a bank of America company) will come to Christchurch for the course. Mr Howell said the workshop would deal with corporate objectives and attitudes towards foreign-exchange exposures, what to do about these exposures, and deci-sion-making factors which should influence decisions. The course will also deal with different options available, the use of foreign-ex-change markets and money markets.
