Mr Victor Brown, of the Commercial Travellers Club, Christchurch, selling poppies on behalf of the Returned Services Association at the corner of Gloucester and Colombo streets yesterday. Helping Mr Brown is his wife, Mavis (centre), who offers a poppy to Mrs Madeline Cooper, of Auckland. About 1,500,000 poppies were made for the annual collection and all proceeds will go towards the R.S.A. welfare fund. The Anzac Day dawn parade will be held next Friday at 6 a.m. The parade will march from the Avon Theatre to the war memorial in Cathedral Square.
