VACANCY 4158 SCIENTIST PLANNING A VACANCY is available in the Water and Soil Directorate, Head Office, for a scientist to assist in providing a service to the National Water and Soil Conservation Authority on matters relating to the wise use of land and water resources. The person appointed will be a member of a planning group assisting with the development and implementation of specific water and soil resource management plans for particular catchments or areas and in the promotion of policy statements and guidelines. The successful applicant would be expected to assist in the formal use of town and country planning procedures under the Town and Country Planning Act 1977 in so far as they affect water and soil interests. Applicants should have a degree in science or agricultural science in appropriate subjects pertaining to Water Resource Management or Land Use issues.
