Aviation purchase
New Zealand’s largest general aviation company, Motor Holdings (Aviation), Ltd, has taken over the business of Pacific Aviation, Ltd, at Rotorua Airport. Pacific Aviation, formerly Finch Aircraft Services, Ltd, has provided servicing support to aircraft in the Rotorua region for 18 years. The company has been owned and managed by Mr Greg Best for the last eight years. Mr Best will remain as manager, with all other pre-
sent staff. The business will continue to trade as Pacific Aviation.
Rotorua is the largest tour-ist-based aviation maintenance centre in the country. Motor Holdings Aviation has a wholly owned subsidiary in Christchurch, Avionic Services, Ltd, the largest avionics firm in the South Island. It also has a maintenance and selling branch at Mosgiel, at Momona Airport, Mosgiel, and a branch at Queenstown Airport.
