Solid-fuel burner information
Some 70,000 householders in the Canterbury United Council region will receive pamphlets later this year with information on correct use of solidfuel burners. The council’s air pollution committee decided last evening that such information should be included in a pamphlet giving reasons for using electricity instead of open fires. Mr Patrick Neary, a committee member, said he thought it most important to include information about solid-fuel burners. Many people who installed a solid-fuel burner did not know how to use it properly, he said.
