Thermostat and time-switch are both important for successful home-heating

To make economic use of electricity whilst getting an effective heating system within the family home, it is necessary to have some kind of heat control which turns the system on or off depending on the varied needs of your home from day to day. There are currently two kinds of controls available.

Thermostats are simple yet very effective. They accurately sense the temperature and switch the heater off and on keeping an even, comfortable level of heating which you may select. Although heaters are available, complete with an inbuilt thermostat, it is still advisable to plan for a separate wall thermostat. These can be cali-

brated in degrees for ease and accuracy of setting. The second type of control available is the timeswitch control which enables comfort to be selected at specific times. For example, the time switcher may switch off the heating in the house at 10 a.m. when everyone has left home for school or work, but will switch the system back on again

at 2.30 p.m. before the family begin arriving home again. Depending on your family’s daily routine, the time-switch can be set to suit your heating needs. The time-control, when added to a heating system, provides a programme of control that changes a plain heater into a thinking integrated, system, working automatically to provide comfort, convenience and economy.
