NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD ALTERATIONS TO ELECTRICITY CHARGES PURSUANT TO REGULATION 28 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1984, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby gives public notice of its intention to alter its charges for supplying electricity. The alterations are to increase all existing electricity charges, as from April 1,1986, by an average of 6.91 per cent. As meters are read progressively over a period of two months or three months, after April 1,1986, and up to June 30, 1986, electricity will be charged proportionately at the old and new rates, depending on the date of the meter reading. (New accounts, special readings, and other accounts which are normally read at the end of each quarter will be subject to the new tariff as from April 1, 1986.) All tariffs will be subject to the imposition of 10 per cent Goods and Services Tax from October 1,1986.
