Hard-working secretary

Being president of the Amuri Agricultural and Pastoral Association in 1960 did not end show activities for Mr Kelvin Dunbar, now retired to Amberley where he runs about 150 sheep on about 13ha, just to keep himself occupied. As well, he has been the show treasurer for 15 years and for the last eight he has combined that with being secretary. For 14 years he has been a member of the Canterbury Education Board, representing the North Ward No. 1, an area extending from the Waipara River to the Clarence River.

As if that were not enough, last year he was persuaded to become secretary for the Amberley A. and P. Asssociation also.

Between times, he is a Presbyterian lay preacher, a work that he took on when only 18. He is a session member of the Rangiora-Amberley Presbyterian Parish.
