Soccer coach relieved
PA Gisborne The All Whites coach, Mr Kevin Fallon, was a relieved man after the 2-4 loss to a Soviet Union selection in their fifth and final clash. Mr Fallon said there had been a real fear that his team would be swamped when they were down 1-4 at half-time to the Russians who produced their best football
of the series on Tuesday night. . He said he had talked hard to the team in the dressing room at half-time and was pleased at the way they fought back in the second half. The Russians ripped an uncertain New Zealand defence apart in a sevenminute burst in the first half.
