PA Wellington Interest rates on Treasury bills firmed slightly at yesterday’s SIOOM tender. The average yield on the sale of 28-day bills was 18.552 per cent, up from 18.489 per cent for 35-day bills two weeks ago. No comparable bills were sold last week.
Dealers bid a total of SI6OM for the SIOOM of 28-day bills on offer. Bills at 28 days: Offered, $100M; bid, $260; sold, $100; successfull yields, 18.25 to 18.94 per cent; weighted average, 18.552; previous average, 18.489 for 35-day bills, February 11; unsuccessful bids, 18.94 to 22.90.
