Daikon shield records
Sir,—What arrgance, what powe games. How dare the Canterbury Hospital Bard, Mr McCrostie, of Christchurch Women’s Hospital, and Dr Fairgray use their "male system” rules to make women’s lives even more difficult. They have refused to release the personal records of those women who have had a Daikon shield fitted. No other hospital board administration in New Zealand has attempted to play God in this way. Is there something to hide? Daikon shield users have suffered for years because of commercial greed coupled with medical ignorance and incompetence. They now need all the support they can get. I hope voters will note carefully who sits on ouor hospital board and who supports the status quo. This is local body election year. — Yours, etc., JENNY HEAL. February 21, 1986.
