Chch firms in running

A Christchurch firm is in with a strong chance of winning the prestigious Prince Philip Design Award at a ceremony that will screen on Two at 7.30 this evening. Four out of six of the finalists are from Christchurch and during the ceremony Prince Philip will present a plaque bearing his cipher and signature or the winning designer of design team, along with a $5OOO study award sponsored by P.D.L. Industries, Ltd.

Street, Ltd; a range of slotted core type optical fibre communication cables, manufactured by Austral Standard Cables Pty, Ltd; the P 500 series of two-way radios, made by Tait Electronics, Ltd; and a range of hoseproof electrical switches and plugs, manufactured by P.D.L.
