P.M.’s support welcomed
By DAVID PORTER NZPA staff correspondent Singapore A message of support from the Prime Minster, Mr Lange, to the Philippine’s Opposition leader, Mrs Corazon Aquino, was “very well received,” said the New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines, Mr Paul Cotton, yesterday.
However, “there was no suggestion” that New Zealand had withdrawn its support from the Philippines Government or recognised Mrs Aquino as de facto President.
