Chase buys
PA Auckland The Chase Corporation, Ltd, has extended its Australian interests. It has bought 100 per cent of Property Estates, Ltd, a property development company with offices in Sydney and Brisbane. Announcing the move in Auckland yesterday at an informal meeting attended by more than 1000 shareholders, the chairman, Mr Colin Reynolds, said Property Estates would "springboard” property operations of Chase by two or three years.
More than 20 projects were due for completion within a year. Group projects being built and committed for completion during the next two years had a value of more than sAust2soM. The second acquisition by Chase is Aarque Pty, Ltd, a manufacturer and distributor servicing the architectural, engineering, surveying, and mining industries with various printer papers and business equipment. Mr Reynolds said Chase had paid sAusts.sM for the company, which has offices in Australia, Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington.
