PORT HILLS DOG CONTROL AND HYDATIDS AUTHORITY DOG CONTROL FEES 1986/87 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Authority, of which the Heathcote County Council (66 Colombo Street, Christchurch 2) and the Lyttelton Borough Council (Cnr Lyttelton and Canterbury Streets, Lyttelton) are the constituent authorities, has fixed the following dog control fees for the year commencing April 1, 1986: REGISTRATION FEES PER DOG: Certified guide dogs and hearing ear dogs. Nil All other dogs: — where the fee is paid on or before April 30, 1986 $31.50 — where the fee is paid after April 30, 1986 $47.25 NOTE: Goods and Services Tax has been included in the fees. LICENCES ETC.: Applications for new kennel licences (to keep three or more dogs) $15.00 Replacement di5c5........................... $2.00 Collars $4.00 NOTE: Goods and Services Tax has not been included in these three charges. For licences, discs and collars issued on or after October 1, 1986, an additional 10 p.c. (being the Goods and Services Tax) will apply. POUND FEES: Dogs registered within Heathcote County or Lyttelton Borough, first offence.. $20.00 Dogs registered elsewhere, first offence.... $30.00 Dogs Impounded for second or subsequent occasion $50.00 Dogs Impounded outside normal office hours $60.00 Sustenance fees (per day or part thereof). $4.50 NOTE: Goods and Services Tax has not been included in these impounding/sustenance fees. For impoundings occurring on or after October 1, 1986, an additional 10 p.c. (being the Goods and Services Tax) will apply. The Dog Control and Hydatids Act 1982 requires every owner having a dog over the age of three months in his or her possession to make application to the Authority in whose district the dog is ordinarily kept and to register the dog not later than April 1 in each year or (in respect of a first registration) before the dog attains the age of three months.
