This year the Bank of New Zealand celebrates 125 years of service to New Zealand. The Bank’s first Branch opened in Auckland on October 16 1861. The Bank’s growth has matched that of the country and today it has 400 offices, including 30 off-shore. The Bank of New Zealand is our largest Trading Bank. It is also the largest foreign exchange dealer here and has become one of the leading foreign exchange dealers in the Southern Hemisphere. The operations of the Bank are many and diverse. They cover all aspects of banking with its personal banking division, New Zealand business division, corporate banking division, international division and its group treasury. The Bank has structured its operations so that each Division is given equal importance. In this way it ensures that the needs of its personal customers, business cus-

tomers, farmers, professional and service customers and its Corporate customers are always met. In addition to its usual range of cheque and savings account facilities, the Bank has developed a wide range of other services. These include visa, autosave, auto access, auto life and home life products for its personal customers, to its forex advisory service, off-shore loan facilities and off-bal-

ance sheet borrowing facilities for its business and Corporate customers. You will be able to discuss any banking service at the Bank of New Zealand stand at the “Money show,” from rates of interest now available on investment to its new “Friend in the Market” service. A special feature of the stand will be the new EFT-POS banking service and BNZ Teledata Videotex service.
