Dead man was due for sentence
PA Auckland A man who bled to death after gashing his arm in a Northland hotel was to have been senteced next week for assaulting a West Auckland traffic officer. He was Frank Allen Neho, aged 28, of Auckland. The Kawakawa police said that Mr Neho died on Saturday afternoon after punching through an
Awanui hotel window. He drove away, hitting a power pole and parked car, before friends took him in another vehicle to hospital. The Auckland police said Mr Neho was due to have appeared in the District Court at Henderson on February 24 for sentence on an assault charge. He had earlier admitted punching the traffic officer, who suffered a broken nose.
