DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL CITY ENGINEER’S DEPARTMENT REGISTATION OF INTEREST CONSTRUCTION OF CUMBERLAND STREET NORTH EXTENSION BRIDGE THIS BRIDGE is to be constructed over the Water of Leith to allow the realignment of State Highway One between Pinehill Road and Cumberland Street North. The bridge will have reinforced concrete abutment walls and base slab, with a post-tensioned, deck of precast, prestressed concrete deck units. The bridge abutments form a continuation of the existinf high velocity channel. The work also includes all necessary earthworks, the construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls, and the construction of gabion walls and channel protection.
