Ministers to attend festival
The Ministers of the Arts and Tourism will be among the guests at the Holme Station Festival in February. Mr Tapsell will be the official guest during the first day of the festival at the station, near Timaru, and Mr Moore and his wife will be official guests on the Sunday. The three-day festival, from February 7 to 9, will include a range of the arts. Tickets are selling well, according to the director, Mrs Dawn Somerville. The guest artists for the festival are John Edgar, Ann Robinson, Rosemary Campbell, Cath Brown, and Philip Trustrum. The festival includes a formal welcome, a short story contest, a bus tour of Maori rock drawings, a church service, and a garden party. Inquiries in Christchurch are being handled by the Southern Regional Arts Council at the Arts Centre.
