The library catalogue is an automated information retrieval system using Cairs software, and this position will involve developing and maintaining an advanced public access catalgoue, and helping to train users of the system. Experience with automated library/information systems would be useful, but a sound understanding of the principles of manual information retrieval systems is of equal importance. The association is located at Moonshine Road, Judgeford, 25km north of Wellington. Staff transport is available and flexible hours are worked. Salary, dependent on qualifications and experience, is based on the public service scale $390,103$390,104 currently $16,402-$23,960.
