Mustang prepared
Mr Ray Mulqueen, an aircraft engineer, of Taupo, overhauls a World War II Mustang fighter at the Royal New Zealand Air Force base at Wigram yesterday in readiness for a flying display in the North Island.
An Auckland pilot, Mr Trevor Bland, who normally
flies Boeing ,747 s for Air New Zealand, will perform aerobatics in the aircraft at air shows in Taupo on Sat-
urday, and at Palmerston North on Sunday. The performances are being held to raise funds for the R.N.Z.A.F. Museum at Wigram. The air shows will allow Mr Bland to put the aircraft through its paces before the Wings and Wheels Classic at Wigram on February 9.
