Wool press fatality
A man died yesterday in an accident involving a hydraulic wool press, at the Pyne Gould Guinness, Ltd, wool store in Moorhouse Avenue. He was Captain William Kane, aged 22, of Marshland Road, Shirley.
The accident occurred about 2.15 p.m. Staff members of Pyne Gould Guinness, Ltd, were not willing to comment on the accident because an inspector of factories had not completed his investigation.
