The primary functions and responsibilities of the successful applicant will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Board’s subtransmission and distribution systems, the supervising of our system control centre, load management policy and operating staff. The appointee will be required to take part in creating the data base of a proposed SCADA system, and also to assist the Board’s senior engineers with other duties as required including those relative to operational requirements. Applicants should have good practical supply authority experience and possess N.Z.C.E. (Electrical) or equivalent. CHIEF DRAUGHTSPERSON This is a senior position, requiring a person with considerable experience in draughting and knowledge of supply authority work. The primary functions and responsibilities will be to control and administer the work of our well equipped draughting office at Te Aroha and to oversee the operations of satellite draughting offices at Thames and Tokoroa involving in all a staff of 9 draughtspersons. The appointee will be required to ensure that the present high standard of our design and record draughting is maintained and enhanced. Applicants should possess N.Z.C.D. in electrical or mechanical options. For both the above positions, housing is available, and a shifting allowance is payable.
