Stable outsider wins at Avondale

PA Auckland The Tucker stable of Takanini experienced both joy and disappointment in the first leg of the T.A.B. double at Avondale yesterday. Royal Sharif, the outsider in a field of 10 for the Avondale Motor Hotel Handicap, won the race narrowly. However, Classic Ace, from whom the stable expected so much, finished down the track.
