INDUSTRIAL PERSONNEL MANAGER (EXPANDING NORTH ISLAND CITY REGION) Our client is a market leader in the area of added value exports of primary products. There are four major production units and we are seeking an Industrial Personnel Manager for the largest of these. One of the key senior managers reporting to Plant Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading and directing a well qualified team of specialists, ensuring the maintenance of a harmonious industrial relations environment. The position encompasses responsibility of all aspects of personnel management with particular emphasis on expertise in the non-salaried industrial relations area including — negotiating of in-house agreements, preparation and implementation of contracts, staff training and development, and handling of grievances. REQUIREMENTS • Proven successful experience in industrial relations in a manufacturing industry. • Highly developed negotiating and communication skills. • Ability to gain the confidence and respect of management, staff, and unions. • Leadership qualities to initiate and develop innovative and mutually acceptable policies. • Experience in negotiating and draughting industrial agreements. • Age flexible, but at least 5 years I.R. direct experience.
