A wild children’s show will open at the Free Theatre on January 20. It is the “Plughole Plunge.” Scripted by Andrew Bancroft and Jamie McCabe, and workshopped by the cast, this is an original children’s production. On an ordinary .night, Isabelle (Christine Rogers) disappears down the plughole of her bath. She and her bathroom playmates Flossie and Lex, who is a bar of soap, plunge

through the pipes, encountering numerous Scunges, a vegetarian spider, and even a taniwha. Her myterious journey ends in the ocean. Here, Peperuga (Andrew Riddell) shows her the masses of rubbish that people have dumped into the sea. The performances will run from January 20 to 25 and from January 27 to February 1 at 2 p.m.
