Garden shop returns to Rangiora
The Garden Shop will make a welcome return to the Rangiora Farmers after an absence of some six months during the development of the Supervalue supermarket. A casualty of the development, the garden shop will return in a brighter format, and is now not so isolated from the other departments within the store. Long-time customers will feel at home in the new area as it will continue to be managed by Mrs Jackie Burroughs who has run the department for the past eight years. Mrs Burroughs originally began work for the Farmers co-operative, later Farmers and Haywrights, and then for Rangiora Farmers. She feels that many longtime customers at the store will be looking forward to
the return of the department. It is sited at the entrance off alfred Street, adjoining the supermarket complex and ’ promises to attract a steady tramp of feet. Mrs Burroughs said that the department will sell an extensive range of garden products, bedding plants and house plants. The shop will sell a range of goods suitable for thoughout the year. Along with plants, there will be potting mix, sprays, fungicides, weed killers, pots, and a small range of pet supplies. Watering cans will be an opening special. Mrs Burrows will be on hand to give a personal service to customers. “I love it. It is my favourite department,” said Mrs Burroughs.
