Sheep from Britain
NZPA-PA London A flock of in-lamb Romney ewes will be flown from Britain to Asia tomorrow. The 190 sheep will be flown from Gatwick to Kuala Lumpur in a Dutch DCIO chartered by the Malaysian Government. A North Devon farmer,
Mr John Barteleous, aged 46, who struck the $288,000 export deal in the face of competition from Australia and New Zealand, will travel with the sheep. The ewes will start lambing about March 20. They will help boost Malaysia’s meat and wool industry.
