TNT to sell
The international transport giant, TNT, Ltd, plans to sell half its 80 per cent interest in an American-based shipping subsidiary, Trans Freight Lines, to potential rival, Overseas Containers, Ltd, for an undisclosed sum. TFL is one of the largest container ship operators on the North Atlantic run but has been a consistent heavy lossmaker for TNT. Hong Kong Impala Pacific shares traded at $HK13.60 and Industrial Equity Pacific at 5HK32.25 in Hong Kong yesterday.
