The appointee will join a small team of specialists whose duties involve the installation and maintenance of industrial heating and ventilation systems in a large continuously operating plant. ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN A vacancy exists for an Electronic Technician who holds full Advanced Trade Electrical qualifications or NZCE (Elec). The appointeee will join a specialised group who work in a heavy industrial plant utilising modern electronic based systems such as PLC’s, microprocessors and similar equipment. Experience with radio based and CCTV communications is a decided advantage. INDUSTRIAL INSTRUMENTATION SERVICEMAN Applications are invited from qualified instrument servicemen or electricians who have had extensive experience in the industrial instrumentation field. We seek persons with a strong electronic bias with experience in the Installation and maintenance of modern process control instrument systems. The positions are open to both men and women and are day work positions in our continuously operating plant, which Is at Kawerau, in the centre of one of New Zealand’s most desirable living and recreational areas. The position is for two years, located in Jakarta. The successful applicant will be required to take up the appointment on 1 July 1986. The Coordinator will be required to advise the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs on geothermal technical co-operation with Indonesia. He/She will also be available for consultation with the Indonesian Government on a wide range of matters relating to geothermal development. This is a senior appointment which requires a considerable breadth of geothermal experience. Terms and conditions of appointment are set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and salary is based on existing salary paid. Airfares, transfer costs and allowances will be paid.
