Trainer’s trophy at Westport

Plans are under way to provide a trophy for. the leading trainer at the Westport Jockey Club’s two day meeting next month. This was disclosed yesterday by Mr Roger Sutherland, of Sutherland Distributors, Ltd, which, in conjunction with
the club, will sponsor the trophy.- ... Mr Sutherland said that, as yet, he' vvas not in a position to say what the value of the trophy would be but gave an assurance that it would be substantial. The Westport meeting will be held on February 22 and 24.
