This was a decrease of $133,985 on last year’s figure. On-course bets, amounting to $381,075, were down $77,428. TARANAKI Bets on the Taranaki-Trot-ting Club’s meeting totalled' $408,900 -(win and place $159,353, double $39,559, treble $44,254, quinella $84,232, trifecta $81,502). Bets on the Timaru Trotting Club’s meeting totalled $753,978 (win and place $351,967, double $88,764, treble $83,650, quinella $150,445, trifecta $79,152). This was down $265,330 on last year’s total. On-course bets, amounting to $265,005, were down $148,151.
