Border to open
Pakistan will open a 4570 m high border pass in May to foreigners going to or coming from China, the official A.P.A. new agency said. All foreign nationals wishing to travel through the Khunjrab Pass would be required to obtain valid visas. This would apply even to citizens of countries which had visa-exemption agreements with Pakistan or China, it said. The pass lies at the end of Pakistan’s 800 km Karakoram Highway, built with Chinese help as the only road link between the two countries. — Islamabad.
