Body found on runway

NZPA-Reuter Frankfurt The body of an American man, aged 34, was found on the runway of Frankfurt Airport yesterday, appar-’ ently after falling from the undercarriage hold of a Blane8 lane landing from Miami, le police said.

A police spokesman said a British Airways pilot spotted the body while landing. Papers found on the dead man showed he was from Toledo, Ohio. He said the man was believed to have been a stowaway on a Lufthansa flight from Miami. He was ' wearing a thick jacket and long underwear, apparently to brave the cold in the cargo bay. The police believe he died from lack of oxygen. The man’s papers included air tickets from Detroit to Nassau via Miami.
