Three weeks left for education submissions
Anyone who wants to have their say about what is happening in schools has only three weeks left to do so. The committee which was set up by the Minister of Education, Mr Marshall, to look at learning in schools has received about 11,000 public submissions. It expects to receive another 3000 before the closing date on January 31. “If people have something
to say they should write in and say it now,” said a member of the review committee, Mrs Lyn Blunt. “Every response is being processed.” Mrs Blunt said that she had heard fears expressed that all of the submissions would not be read, but that was not true. People were welcome to send in their responses, even if they did not have the official forms.
