NZPA-AP New York A couple staying in a first-class New York hotel pay an average of SUS2IO ($420) for a double room and breakfast, which makes New York the world’s most expensive overnight stop fortwo, a survey says. Chicago is the second most, expensive, at SUS2OO
($400); followed by Istanbul, Turkey, at SUSIBO ($360); Houston, Jeddah, in Saudia Arabia, and Sao Paolo, Brazil, at SUSI6O ($320); and London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Athens, and Jakarta at SUSISO ($300). The Union Bank of Switzerland published the survey results in the 1985 edition of its annual “Prices and
Earnings Around the Globe.” Abu Dhabi tops the list for the most expensive dinner for one, at an average of SUSS9 ($118), followed by Manama, in Bahrain, and Tokyo at SUS 42 ($B4), New York at SUS3S ($7O), Houston at SUS 29 ($5B), and Jeddah at SUS 26 ($52), the survey says.
