B. Thomson for Trentham
PA Wellington The star jockey, Brent Thomson, is a “definite starter” for at least the first two days of the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting at Trentham, on January 18 and 20. There is also a strong possibility that he will stay for cup day on January 25, depending upon, a commitment to ride in Australia on the same day according to a Wellington Racing Club committee member Jack
O’Brien. , Mr O’Brien heard from Kevin Thomson yesterday that his son, Brent Thomson would be in Wellington for the first two days. Kevin Thomson is taking rides for him- and Mr O’Brien is sure there will be plenty of interest from owners and trainers who want the services of the jockey who has ridden with success in New Zealand, Australia and, now, the. United kingdom.
