In the Glen wound up her preparation for the Kumara Nuggets tomorrow, with a solid 1400 trial on the plough at Riccarton yesterday.
She was paired with her stablemate, Samasaan, to run the distance in 1:33.6, the last 600 in 38.2.
Harbor Flo, another member of the Garth Jackson team, returned 1:33 for
her solo 1400 m.
Earlier The Thief, a promising three-year-old stayer in the Dave Kerr team, sprinted 1400 in 1:31.4, the last 600 in 39. The Thief showed she had thrived on her holiday programme — she was third in the Blue Riband at Waikouaiti — and is booked for a Trentham campaign. She has been entered for the $lOO,OOO New Zealand Oaks.
