Plantations raided in North Otago
PA Oamaru Police raided North Otago cannabis plantations yesterday, but said the pickings were lean. A helicopter search of the lower IVaitaki River yielded 200 plSftis, but a probe of
the Moerake, Herbert Forest and Wainakarua River areas uncovered only 70 to 80 plants, well down on last year’s haul, a police spokesman said. The street value ,pf the plants found was Bjpbout $270,000, he said.
